These words are nouns . Nouns name people, places or things. We add s to talk about more than one person, place or thing.

Tom is William's son . Tom and Sam are William's son s .
Ellen is Tom's daughter .
Ellen and Natasha are Tom's daughter s .
Nat is a student .
Nat, Julia and Geng are student s .
Julia is Nat's friend .
Julia and Geng are Nat's friend s .
Tom has a car .
Sam has two car s .

singular (1)

plural (2,3,4,5,6,7...) + s

Examples

Pamela is a lawyer. Pamela's husband is a lawyer. Pamela and her husband are lawyer s .
Nat's family has a one house in the country and one house in the city. Nat's family has two house s.
Julia is a student. she has a red pen. She has a blue pen. She has two pen s.

Spelling
