Age

She's 22. He's 67. She's 85.
We also say:
young
middle aged
old

BE CAREFUL Many people don't like to talk about their build or age.

Examples

My sister is tall and slim .
Ben is well built.
He's short and slim .

When we use describing words we use the verb to be.

He is tall.
She is slim.
I am young.

We also use describing words to say what we think someone looks like.

He is handsome .
We use handsome when we think a man looks nice.
She is beautiful. We use beautiful when we think a woman looks nice.
They are ugly . We use ugly when we think a person or thing doesn't look nice.
BE CAREFUL It's not nice to say a person is ugly
Julia and Keiko say
Keiko:
What colour are his eyes?
Julia:
Oh dark brown. He has really nice eyes.
Keiko:
Does he have dark skin?
Julia:
Yes and he has black hair.

Keiko asks Julia for more information about what Geng (he) looks like. She asks about - eyes, hair and skin.

Eyes

When we talk about eyes , we usually talk about colour.
