Carmen is sick. She leaves a message at school.
Receptionist:
City College. Good morning.
Carmen:
Good morning. Can I speak to Mr Hill in the English Department please?
Receptionist: Yes, just a moment. Oh, I'm sorry, the line's busy. Would you like to hold?
Carmen: Yes, thank you.
Receptionist: Putting you through now.
Carmen: Thank you.
Teacher: Hello, English Department.
Carmen: Hello, can I speak to Mr Hill please.
Teacher: I'm sorry, he's not here at the moment.
Carmen: Oh, can I leave a message for him?
Teacher: Yes, of course.
Carmen: My name is Carmen Da Silva. I'm in his level 3 morning class, in room 6. I'm sorry I can't come to class for the next two days. I have the flu and the doctor told me to rest until Wednesday.
Teacher: That's fine Carmen. I'll tell Tom. We'll see you at school on Wednesday.
Carmen: Thank you. Bye.
