1. Saying what we want

Gino and Jessica say:
Gino:
Are you ready to order ?
Jessica: Yes. I'll have a salad sandwich and an orange juice.

Gino asks Jessica what she wants to eat. Jessica says what she wants.

Gino and Eriko say:
Gino:
... what would you like ?
Eriko:
Err; can I have a hamburger and chips please?

Gino asks Eriko what she wants to eat. Eriko says what she wants.

Gino and Eriko say:
Gino:
And do you want anything to drink?
Eriko:
Yes, I'd like a coffee.

Gino asks Eriko what she wants to drink. Eriko says what she wants.

The assistant asks:
The customer says:

2. Making choices

Gino and Jessica say:

Eriko:
Yes, barbeque sauce, please.

Sometimes we make a choice to have something extra (for example sauce, butter).
Sometimes we make a choice between two or more things (for example black or white coffee).
