T hings to see
The Aquarium shows examples of many different places in Australia where fish and other water animals and plants live:
  • The Rivers , which have 28 kinds of fish. These fish don't live anywhere else in the world.
  • The Mangroves , where the roots of the trees are mostly under water. Many kinds of baby fish grow here.
  • The Rivers of the Far North , which are the home of the dangerous saltwater crocodile.
  • The Oceans , which are the home of sharks, stingrays and seals. The seals are in their own pool. You can see them from underwater tunnels.
  • The Great Barrier Reef , which is one of the natural wonders of the world. It has many different kinds of beautiful coloured fish and sea plants.
