UNIT 01 Talking about the past TOPIC 01 Last weekend

	LISTENING 01 Did you have a good weekend?
	Naomi and Jessica talk about the weekend.

Jessica	Hi Naomi. How are you?
Naomi	Fine thanks, Jessica. How about you?
Jessica	Oh, really good. So, did you have a good weekend?
Naomi	Yeah, it was alright.
Jessica	What did you do?
Naomi	Well…on Saturday morning I went to the beach for a walk. After my walk I had a coffee in a café opposite the beach. Then in the afternoon I went shopping in the city.
Jessica	Mm, did you buy anything?
Naomi	Yeah, I did. I bought a pair of shoes. And what about you? What did you do on Saturday?
Jessica	Oh, I was really busy. In the afternoon I went to an art exhibition.
Naomi	Really? Was it good?
Jessica	Yes it was. I met Hiro there - he's one of my students. We had a good chat.
Naomi	Aha.
Jessica	Then I went home and in the evening Tim and I went to a great party. We had a late night.
Naomi	Hmm. And on Sunday?
Jessica	On Sunday we stayed home and relaxed. I read the newspaper and Tim cooked lunch. And how about you? Where did you go on Sunday?
Naomi	Oh I didn't do much. I got up late. Then I cleaned my house and after that I made some phone calls. Later, in the evening, I went to the movies.
Jessica	Was it a good movie?
Naomi	No, it was boring.
Jessica	Oh, that's no good. Oh look at the time. I have to go. I start teaching in five minutes. See you at 1.00.
Naomi	OK, see you, bye.
