	When we write about movies we write about the setting, the plot, the characters and give our opinion.

1. The setting

Dan Coleman writes:
Dan Coleman:	The movie is set in a forest in California where only hunters and a few tourists usually go.

The setting is where the movie happens.

We can also say: The setting for the movie is a forest in California.

2. The plot

Dan Coleman tells us:
Dan Coleman:	The plot is quite simple. The greedy hunters try to trap the bear so they can kill her and sell her fur. The bear gets caught in the trap! But John and Alice live near the forest and often go there to watch the animals…

The plot is the story in the movie.

When we write about a movie we usually tell the story.

3. The characters

Dan Coleman writes:
Dan Coleman:	The greedy hunters try to trap the bear so they can kill her and sell her fur.
Dan Coleman:	The Trap is an adventure movie about two brave young people, John and Alice.
Dan Coleman:	John and Alice are kind, gentle people who help the bear to find food and feed her cubs…

The characters are the people in a movie.

We can use adjectives like greedy, brave, young, kind and gentle to describe the people in a movie.

4. Giving our opinion

Dan Coleman writes:
Dan Coleman:	The movie gets quite exciting as they discover the bear in the trap…
Dan Coleman:	The Trap is a movie for all ages, old and young. It's exciting! It's a real adventure movie!
Dan Coleman:	Don't miss The Trap!

Dan Coleman is giving his opinion about the movie.

To give your opinion about a movie means to say what you think about it.
We often use adjectives like exciting or interesting to give our opinion about a movie.

When we think the movie is very good we say " Don't miss (name of movie)!"
