	LANGUAGE FOCUS 04 Using 'will' for decisions about the future
	Find out one way to talk about the future.

Jim says:
Jim:	I' ll provide the food.

Eddie says:
Eddie:	Well I ' ll call you later and let you know if we can make it.
Eddie:	..but I' ll make dinner tonight.
Eddie:	Linh and I will come to the party on Friday.

We often use will to talk about the future when we have just decided to do something (at the moment we speak).

Compare this with going to .
We use going to when we have already decided to do something.

Example

Jim says (about Pedro's friends)
Jim:	….. they're going to bring their instruments along and play for us.

They (Pedro's friends) have already decided to bring their instruments - they have told Jim about their plan.

We often say " I think I'll ... " when we decide to do something, for example,

I'm hungry. I think I'll make dinner now.

And we say " I don't think I'll …" when we decide not to do something, for example,

I'm really busy this weekend. I don't think I'll go to the party.

will not = won't , for example,

I won' t buy these bananas because we have lots at home.
