Gaye in the supermarket

1. Conversation in the supermarket.
Jan:	Hello, I haven't seen you for a long time.
Gaye:	Oh, hi! It's good to see you again.
Jan:	You look great! Where have you been since I saw you last?
Gaye:	Well, I went to London for 2 years. That's why you haven't seen me.
Jan:	What did you do there?
Gaye:	I worked as a secretary. I also travelled to Europe a lot in my free time.
Jan:	Oh really! I used to live in England too. I was born there.
Gaye:	Were you?
Jan:	My family moved here when I was 3 years old. I've become a citizen now, and I love living here.
Gaye:	That's great!

2. Conversation at the gym.
Bill:	That was a hard workout! You must be really tired now
Pedro:	Whew! I am! I'm ready for a big drink!
Bill:	We haven't met. I'm new here. My name's Bill.
Pedro:	Hi, I'm Pedro. Have you been to a gym before, Bill?
Bill:	Oh yes, I used to go to another gym, but I decided to try this one instead.
Pedro:	It's a good gym.
Bill:	Yes, I like it. I want to come more often. I love being fit and healthy.
Pedro:	I know what you mean! Before I came to the gym I was really unfit, but now I am much stronger.
Bill:	Yes, coming to the gym is great.

Peter:	Hi there! How are you? Welcome to our street.
John:	Well, hello. That's very kind of you. Thanks!
Peter:	If there's anything we can do to help, just ask.
John:	Thank you! It is hard moving into a new place.
Peter:	Yes, I know. We only moved here last year. We used to live in another city.
John:	Oh really? Do you like it here?
Peter:	We love it!

Fred:	Doesn't the bride look beautiful?
Judy:	Oh yes, she's a lovely girl. Have I met you before?
Fred:	No, I don't think so. I'm a friend of the bridegroom's family.
Judy:	Oh, right. I used to go to school with the bride. My name's Judy.
Fred:	Hello Judy, I'm Fred. So, you went to school with Pam. Was she a good student?
Judy:	No, not really. We used to be very naughty! Now we are much more serious!
Fred:	Really! That's good.
