1. The present simple tense

Philip writes:
Every morning I collect the eggs from the chickens and give them some food.

We us the present simple to talk about an action we repeat regularly.

Philip says:
I remember one day we were riding around the farm together.

We also use the present simple tense to talk about what we think, say or feel at the moment (eg I think…, I want… I forget…)

Maria says:
There are so many things I want to do when I get back.

We also use the present simple tense to talk about definite plans in the future.
