5. The present perfect tense

Eddie says:

It's the most beautiful city I've ever visited.

We use the present perfect tense to talk about something that started in the past and continues up to now. We also use it when we do not want to talk about an exact time in the past. Usually there is some connection to the present. In the example above, Eddie might still visit a more beautiful city.
