Eddie is talking to Linh in their flat.
Eddie:
Hi! How was your day?
Linh:
Hmmm…. It was OK, but I had a long meeting so I'm a bit tired.
Eddie: Me too, but I'll make dinner tonight.
Linh: Ahh…that would be lovely, thanks.
Eddie: Oh by the way, I just met Jim on the way in. He's invited us to Pedro's welcome party on Friday.
Linh: Oh….
Eddie: What's up? Do we have plans for Friday?
Linh: Well…no….but….
Eddie: I know you don't really like parties but there are not too many people coming. It's just a small group of friends.
Linh: Well…. I don't know.
Eddie: There's a friend of Pedro's coming. Her name's Maria. She's really friendly and easy to talk to. And you know Rose, and Jim. I think Anna will be there. She works in the computing section of Jim's office. I can introduce you.
Linh: Hmm… well maybe just for an hour or so.
Eddie: That's great! That will be really nice for Pedro.
